Outdoor yoga continues at the Botanic Gardens this fall. Aviva will teach one more class on August 31st. Participants will meet at 9:30am, in the Perennial circle and then move to a shaded area nearby. Sam will return to teaching at the Botanic Gardens, Tuesdays at 9:30am starting September 7th at a new location: in the meadow along the Streamside Trail. The new field is in the forest behind the Children’s Wonder garden through the gates towards the Piedmont Nature Trails. Sam will teach in the spacious and shaded outdoor space in September and October.
Sign up for the classes through the Botanical Gardens Website. Practicing yoga outdoors gives you a deeper appreciation for the sounds of nature. You never know what nature has in store, maybe you will find a turtle walking through the area, a butterfly landing nearby or gentle rain that increases your energy. Along with your yoga mats, please bring a towel, sun screen, bug spray and hat. You will also want to have a mask with you as you can not enter any building (including restrooms without a mask).
Yoga helps us learn how to respond to new and difficult situations by embracing adaptability. Ribbon is a new platform and upgrades are made frequently. If you find that the platform looks different when you visit, know that Ribbon is improving the user experience and that might mean slight changes in your Dashboard and screens when you purchase something or sign-up for class.
