We are dedicated to compassionately support our community to have access to a meditation setting. We offer affordable live group In Person and online classes. Additionally, all group classes include a meditation component. We also offer private individual and small group meditation sessions by appointment. Contact info@dogwoodstudioyoga.com for any questions.

We offer Group Meditation after Friday’s Mindful Movement and Yoga. During the meditation, we will explore various techniques and have time at the end to ask questions and if you like to, share experiences.

WHY MEDITATE? Meditation has been shown to benefit individuals in many ways.  There are many clinical trials past and current that support the benefits of meditation. LINK

WHAT IS MEDITATION? Meditation isn’t about becoming a different person, a new person, or even a better person. It’s about training in awareness and cultivating truthful insights. 

It is not turning off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment and recognize what hinders us from freedom to better understand them as well. Practicing meditation to cultivate calm can help us to repattern our reaction to thoughts, habits and behaviors. Freedom!
