Heart Centered Yoga and Meditation (Online & On Demand)

We invite you to step out of your mind and connect with your heart. Heart Centered Yoga explores a heart expanding practice performed at a gentle pace, allowing time to be present in each pose. In this class, we will embody a theme related to the practice of heart centering. We will lovingly move through a series of reclined, seated, and standing postures, adapted for your body, before easing into stillness. Our asana practice will be followed by a guided meditation through which we will experience love, gratitude, and joy to greater depths.

“My husband and I are both regular participants in the Mindful Movement and Heart Centered yoga practices offered by Dogwood Studios. Most notable to us in the last year since being introduced is the Heart Centered Yoga & Meditation practice led by Amanda Dzengeleski. We begin each Monday morning with her which enables us to start our week in a mindful way with a positive and affirming gentle series of movements that warm up the body and build upon our flexibility and strength. Amanda is phenomenal in her communication skills guiding us all with clarity and grace in the various poses she leads in her practice - and with a voice so soothing that on its own is calming and restorative. Her warmth and caring spirit shine through each and every time we’re with her. We’re totally addicted to her and her practice!!!!” - Anne F

iRest (Online)

iRest follows the tradition of yoga nidra. This means the practice takes you on a journey through what yogic philosophy calls the koshas (the feeling, breath, mind, wisdom, and joy bodies) to facilitate deep rest and healing. It is practiced for specific benefits: to induce profound relaxation; eliminate stress; overcome insomnia; solve personal and interpersonal problems; resolve trauma; and neutralize and overcome anxiety, fear, anger, and depression.

If you are thinking, “Can it really do all that?” The answer is, “Yes. All that!” In an iRest practice you enter a deep state of relaxation all while remaining aware and alert which uncovers your innate intelligence and intrinsic clarity. It’s all right there waiting for you. This amazing practice offers so much and it simply involves lying down, listening, and staying awake for 30 to 40 minutes. This practice can change your life.
