Shoulder Health and Autumn

With Yin rising, we perform asanas that help support and balance the Lung (Yin) and Large Intestine (Yang) Meridians, as well as the Heart (Yin) and Small Intestine (Yang) Meridians. Congestion in our shoulders is common and you may find an increase as the season has changed. Performing Yin and Yang postures for the shoulders and neck are very beneficial. Also asanas that compress or lengthen the abdomen as well.

Use the Bandhas to your benefit in these poses. Jalandhara (chin), Uddiyana (abdominal region), and Mula (pelvic area).

Take a look at this article.

See you in class.
