COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

Dogwood Studios is committed to doing what it can to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) determination if there is a public health emergency for COVID-19 and follow any guidelines accordingly. Currently the CDC has declared the COVID-19 public health emergency to be over. We want to be cautious for this and other viruses of concern.

If you have been exposed recently to COVID or another virus in the last 5 days OR if you are not feeling well or experiencing COVID like symptoms the evening before or morning of a class you are registered for in person, we ask you to cancel. Your class pass will be placed back into your account.

If a teacher is not feeling well, or exposed to an individual who tested positive, cancellation of the class will occur and students will be notified as soon as possible, unless a substitute teacher can be scheduled. Online and prerecorded classes are offered as an alternative to In Person classes.

Despite every best effort, there is no way to guarantee that someone will not come into contact with the COVID-19 virus. In the event someone notifies Dogwood Studios that they tested positive for COVID-19 and were contagious while at an In Person class or session:

  • Everyone who attended the same class or session will be notified.

  • Teacher(s) who were at the In Person class or session should follow current CDC guidelines for quarantine before returning to In Person teaching.

  • Attendees who were exposed should follow the current CDC guidelines for quarantine before signing up and attending another In Person class or session.

  • The applicable facility should be notified to implement disinfection protocols per the facility’s procedures.
