What: Mindful Movement Series For People That Have a Hard Time Bending

When: Online Sundays 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. EST

March 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th

Description:

Feel like you or someone you know need to be more flexible to do the things you like? Or you or someone you know are not designed to bend, or used to be able to bend?

This mindful movement class is for those that want to understand how to safely learn about how they can improve their mobility and flexibility. This is true for those with arthritis, joint replacement, chronic back, neck, shoulder pain, scoliosis, and more.

This is a series of classes that blend focus on movement and postures that support increased gains in flexibility for your body. Learn why these are important so you are more likely to keep practicing and integrating these in your life routine.

We use breathing, mindfulness, movement and poses with many variations and find the best one for you and how to practice together and on you own. We will build a routine for you to do on your own and provide a video for you to use between sessions.

What would be ideal to have for the classes:

  • a yoga mat or surface that you can practice on that is not slippery. Wearing socks can increase your chances of falling

  • a strap or similar object to allow you the ability to hold your foot more securely, e.g., hand towel

  • one or more yoga blocks, ball (gertie ball)

  • blanket and or beach towel

  • folding chair (padded seat is ideal)

  • device with a good internet connection (e.g., laptop, iPad.)

Notes for Sign-up:

  1. You can use a Dogwood Studio regular class pass to attend.

  2. If you have a friend that would benefit, they should create an account and sign-up through Dogwood Studio’s Mindbody.
