During the workshop, we integrate mind-body activities to increase awareness of habits that impact our health and provide techniques that can be applied in daily life to create opportunities to re-pattern our movements, mindsets, and support improved health.

Date: Sunday, January 19th

Time: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM Part 1: Skeletal Variation and Yoga

  • 1:15 PM to 4:30 PM Part 2: Fascia & a Daily Practice to Benefit YOUR Health

Price: $100

There are am and pm breaks and a break for lunch. All props supplied.

Part 1: Skeletal Variation and Awareness for safety and function.
No two skeletons are alike. Therefore, how you position your body or coach others cannot be the same. Learn a balanced practice that safely and positively takes into account your skeletal variation and medical history. This will promote increased awareness, flexibility, strength, balance and sense of well-being with less risk of injury.

Part 2: Fascia Communication System and Awareness for safety and function.
This mindful practice promotes great insights as to how we hold tension, move (or do not move) our bodies, and how we relate to the sensations in our body. The workshop will focus on the main plains of the human body's superficial and deep fascia to learn to adapt categories of yoga poses to YOUR body to target your fascia and energy meridians.

This workshop is taught by SAM Sather, a certified Yoga Therapist that specializes in functional movement and mindfulness. She integrates the function and importance of fascia and skeletal variation with yoga postures and mindfulness practices.
