New Yoga Workshop: Creating a Home Practice

Our routines are born from habits which are formed by our repeated actions. Some of these support our wellbeing like, when we make time in our week to go for walks, garden, enjoy the company of friends, focus on our hobbies and take a group yoga class. Yoga is good for us. We might feel like a completely different person after a yoga class, but very few people have 75 minutes to practice yoga everyday. A New York Times article reminds us that movement such as yoga in the morning help reduce stiffness from staying in the same position overnight. Although online classes have brought yoga classes into our homes, it is much harder to have a daily yoga practice when we are on our own.

You don’t need to carve out 75 minutes everyday for yoga; a short daily practice will have a huge impact. The Dogwood team is here to help you develop your daily personal yoga practice. We have created a new workshop: Creating a Home Yoga Practice to give you the confidence to practice yoga for your body, your space, and your needs at home. Developing a home practice is valuable for deepening what you learn in class.

Dates: March 20th and April 3rd

We encourage you to sign up for both sessions to allow self-study and at-home experimentation of what we explore in the first weekend.

Times: 2:30-5:00 pm EST

Venue/Location: This is a hybrid event.

In Person Option meets at the Southern Village Clubhouse

Perfection in practice comes when one continues to practice with sincerity and respect for a long period of time without any interruption. Yoga Sutra 1.14

The best practice is one you can do everyday for many years. Consistency is the key!
