Mindfulness Retreat at NC Botanical Garden

Step into a garden and you will encounter a bountiful display of creativity: the vining of the mischievous Morning Glory, the colorful blossoming of Chrysanthemum, the flopping spread of purple Asters and yellow Goldenrod. All around, flowers showcase their beauty, pollinators buzz around, plumes of grass sway in the wind, birds sing their melodies. Whether this garden is a container garden on a balcony or a landscaped backyard, it is sure to inspire awe and a sense of presence.

On Saturday, October 29 from 8:30am-3:00pm at the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, we invite you to The Heart of Hope: Wisdom from the Garden retreat, where we encourage you to explore and express the garden of your inner landscape. Through mindful movement and creative art journaling, participants will have the opportunity to tend to the inner garden of the heart: weeding out what no longer serves, planting seeds of hope, beholding the beauty within…all while immersing in the beautiful backdrop of the fall landscape at the Botanical Gardens.

Give yourself, or a friend, the gift of presence this fall. Open your heart to the awe-inspiring garden that exists within you. Swami Sivandanda wisely said, “you live not on what you have, but on what you hope.” Be in community as you explore what hope means for you and cultivate this hope as a resource to turn to as we approach the winter and darker time of the year.

Registration is through NC Botanical Garden. Sign up HERE.
