Thank you for taking the time to respond! The number of responses was very good. We asked for how you feel about in-person and group mindfulness movement classes, like yoga and meditation, and here are the results.

1.    Most of the survey respondents feel it is too early to attend in-person group classes. We will continue to offer live streaming and pre-recorded On Demand classes. We also will continue to offer private individual and small group online sessions for yoga therapy and meditation. Some who responded yes to this survey question may be open to a private in-person session if they feel comfortable about our safety protocols. 2.    Many of the survey respondents are concerned about infection. A few prefer online format over in-person for various reasons, including personal health concerns or family commitments that make online classes safer or more convenient.

3.    Most of the survey respondents want to wait for a vaccine before feeling comfortable coming back to a studio. (FYI: The survey was sent out in July).

4.    Bringing your own props is a great option for all, and most of the survey respondents feel comfortable doing so.

5.    Out of those who felt comfortable using studio equipment, the following are the props they feel comfortable using in a yoga studio.

6.    The survey respondents that replied to what they would expect if they came to a studio want stringent cleaning measures the most, but all options recommended by science are important to them. Some suggested in-person but outside classes, if possible. BTW: September 29th, SAM will be teaching a yoga class at 11 a.m. at the NC Botanical Gardens. Stay-tuned for more information.

7 - 9.    Many of the survey respondents have taken online classes and will continue after restrictions are lifted and once things open again. The situation introduced online to many people that never would have done so otherwise and many value it for part of their future experience.

10.    About half of the survey respondents have taken On Demand classes. We hope the rest of you will try them now that we moved to a new, easier system and you now have 8 days to view the session! Sign-up by 9 a.m. on Sundays to take the class during that week. But if you forget and then want a class or two to do on your own, email info@dogwoodstudioyoga.com and we can sign you up and send the link with the password to you.
